    An important element of Insightlink's service is our proprietary database of benchmark norms for every question in our standard Employee Opinion Survey. These norms allow you to compare the survey scores for your organization against those of a representative sample of both U.S. and Canadian employees.

    Normative results are critical to interpreting your survey results and helping define which areas you may need to target for remedial action. For example, if your survey results indicate that 45% of your employees are satisfied with the amount they are paid, you need to know if this result is on a par with other employers or if it represents a weakness that could trigger turnover.     Insightlink Ensures a Database of Accurate, Representative Norms

    To be useful, norms must provide a true picture of employee opinions. Insightlink does not create its comparative database by simply amalgamating scores from its clients' surveys, as is sometimes done by other employee survey companies. Instead, Insightlink norms are developed via a specially-commissioned, representative survey of employees in North America. The sample for this survey is balanced against Bureau of Labor Statistics and Statistics Canada figures in terms of such key factors as company size, range of industry types, geography and employee demographics. The result of this balanced sampling is a rigorously scientific, fully accurate view that provides real benchmarks against which to judge your organization's scores.
